FILTECH 2009 will be again held in Wiesbaden, Germany. Hessen's State Capital is situated right in the Center of Europe. Wiesbaden is easy to reach by whatever means, be it by road, by rail or by plane.

The City's proximity to Frankfurt International Airport guarantees easy access especially for international visitors: the largest airport in continental Europe is 30 minutes away by car or by train.

Flying Distances
Wiesbaden is easily accessible via Frankfurt International Airport, the largest airport in continental Europe located only 28 kilometres away. Passengers do not even have to leave the terminal area to make their connections; they can take the suburban trains S8 and S9 or several regional trains directly to Wiesbaden Central Station.

The Central Station of Wiesbaden is a breakpoint of important Euro- and Intercityconnections. Wiesbaden is closely linked to Frankfurt Hbf Main Station through numerous rail connections, a journey of only 35 minutes. Travellers arriving by train have only short walking distances in the City.

Pedestrians can easily reach the most important sights and facilities in a few minutes. From the Central Station to the Rhein-Main-Hallen is only a 10 minutes walk:

Comming from the central station Wiesbaden
- Cross the Gustav-Stresemann-Ring.
- Keep right and walk along the park (Reisinger-Anlagen) at the Friedrich-Ebert-Allee
- After 950 m you reach the Rhein-Main-Hallen.

You can also take the bus or taxi from outside the main station - a few minutes ride and very frequent service. FILTECH 2009 Conference delegates have a public transport ticket for Wiesbaden and can use buses and trams in Wiesbaden free of charge. The ticket also covers free rides with regional trains from Frankfurt Airport to Wiesbaden Central Station and back.

Wiesbaden is linked to 8 highways and seven federal roads, and can reached, e.g., from the north via A5 or A3, from the east via A3/A66, from the south via A5 or A67/A63 and from the west via A60. The Rhein-Main-Halls are located in the City Center. Parking garages: The nearest parking place to the Rhein-Main-Hallen is the "Theater"-Parking-Garage which is open 24 hours a day. The next parking place is the "Markt/Rathaus"-Garage 10 minutes walking distance to the Rhein-Main-Hallen. Parking-Fees will be charged.

Comming from the Frankfurt Airport (by car)
- Drive in the B43.
- Leave the B43 and drive on the slip road As Kelsterbach on the A3 direction Köln, Wiesbaden, Darmstadt, Mainz, Rüsselsheim.
- Alternate at the Wiesbadener Kreuz on the A66.
- Alternate at the Wiesbaden-Mainzer Straße (5) from the A66 in direction Wiesbaden-Stadtmitte (town center), Wiesbaden-Mainzer Str.
- Now you pass the slip road of Wiesbaden.
- Follow the Mainzer Straße (B263)
- Leave the Mainzer Straße (B263) and turn left into the Gustav-Stresemann-Ring (B54).
- Leave the Gustav-Stresemann-Ring (B54) and drive straight on the Kaiser-Friedrich-Ring (B54).
- Leave the Kaiser-Friedrich-Ring (B54) and turn right into the Bahnhofstraße.
- Leave the Bahnhofstraße and turn left into the Rheinstraße (L3037).
- After 30 km and 24 minutes you reached the Rheinstraße 20 in Wiesbaden.
   
Taxis can be found at the main station. From the main station to the Rhein-Main-Hallen approx. 5 min and 8 €
Please be aware that during the rush-hour the travel time can be longer.
   


The Rhein-Main-Hallen are situated in the City Centre of Wiesbaden, a 10 minutes walk from Central Station.
